How people opt in to Syra texts
Syra texts people who ask for it: contractors who request a call or a signup link from Syra (their signup link, a reminder about their request, and account and setup messages), and Syra customers (instant alerts with the name, number and reason of each caller Syra answered for them). We never text purchased lists or anyone who hasn't agreed.
1. Website form
On usesyra.com/call-me a contractor enters their name, business, cell number and email, then must tick this box themselves. It is unchecked by default and the form won't submit without it:
We store the exact consent wording, time, IP address and browser with each request.
2. Customer setup
When a contractor signs up, they enter the cell number where they want lead alerts on their setup page, and can reply STOP at any time.
3. On a call
Before texting anyone who agreed on a phone call, Syra or the caller asks: "Can I text you the link? You'll get texts from Syra about your signup. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime to opt out or HELP for help. Is that OK?" A text is only sent after a clear yes.
